Eastern Route – 3 days

Itinerary & Terms

Day One: 11th Feb 2018 Kampala

Pick at 7:30am after breakfast you will travel to the Mabira RainForest to enjoy Forest Walk with the option to enjoy a short birding walk (@ $23) or Ziplining (@ $50) .

After lunch, check in to the Jinja Nile Resort before enjoying lunch. After lunch enjoy a boat ride at the Source of the Nile, Tour Jinja town and the Itanda fishing village. Return to the Jinja Nile Resort at 5pm.

Optional activities include:

  • Bungee jumping @ $115
  • Quad biking @ $45 for 1 hour, $79 for 2 hours and $99 for 3 hours

Day Two: Monday 12th February 2018

After breakfast, you will set off for Kapchorwa at 7:15am and visit the Kyagalanyi Coffee Farmer Model Farm located in Kabyewa Kapchorwa. After that you will visit the farm of a role model Kawacom coffee farmer’s farm. While visiting the Kawacom Washing Station Facility you will enjoy a cupping session and picnic lunch.

At 3:30pm you will visit Sipi Falls, which is a series of three waterfalls in eastern Uganda in the district of Kapchorwa. The waterfalls lie on the edge of Mount Elgon National Park near the Kenyan border. The falls offer stunning views of the Karamoja plains.

At 6:30pm you will check into the Wash and Wills Hotel, Mbale.

Day Three: Tuesday 13th February 2018

After breakfast, you will set off for Kampala at 8:00am and should expect to arrive at 2pm.

Western Route – 3 days

Itinerary & Terms

Day One: Sunday 11th February 2018

After breakfast, your guide from Churchill Safaris will meet you at your hotel at 6:30am and set off on the southbound road to the equator and have a chance to take a photo at this tourist point.

Thereafter you will visit Hussein Mukiibi’s Farm within Bukinta’s Cooperative Society. Next you will visit the Kibinge Cooperative Society Seeding Nursery that supplies all community members with seedlings. Also under the Kibinge Cooperative Society you will visit the Kamulegeya Family Estate Farm before visiting the society’s head office for a cupping session and a picnic lunch.

After Lunch you shall be driven to the Igongo Cultural Centre & Country Hotel for an overnight stay combined with a cultural tour and traditional entertainment.

Day Two: Monday 12th February 2018

At 8:30am you will proceed to the Ankole Coffee Producers Cooperative Union Society that has over 20 coop societies, 10,000 farmers, a nursery, processing plant and stores. Here you will have a cupping session before proceeding to visit the mixed farm of Vincent Twikirize, a member of the same cooperative society.

At 2pm you will check into the famous Queen Elizabeth National Park, have lunch and enjoy an evening boat trip along the Kazinga Channel.

Day Three: Tuesday 13th February 2018

4:30am wake up and go for an early morning game drive to through the park to look for prides of lion and other wildlife and then return to the lodge for breakfast at 7am. You will set off to Kampala at 8pm through the towns of Fort Portal and Mityana. Lunch will be served at 1pm and arrival in Kampala scheduled for 4pm.
