We wish to take this opportunity to announce our new and exciting coffee event termed the “ÄFCA Specialty Coffee Expo”, due to take place from 30th – 31st October 2019 at the Sea Cliff Resort and Spa, Zanzibar. The theme of the event is “Domestic Consumption in Africa & AFCA Barista Retreat”.

We shall have an exhibition pavilion that will host several industry players such as café owners, roasters, coffee machine & equipment suppliers among others, who will display their products and services as well as build their brands while setting up direct trade relationships.

A Great line up of targeted coffee trainings, workshops and presentations by industry experts will take place within the exhibition pavilion, enabling interactive participation, learning and business growth opportunities.

Greetings from African Fine Coffees Association.

The African Fine Coffees Association is pleased to announce the AFCA Barista  program during the Specialty Coffee Expo. The AFCA African Barista Program is based on the standards and regulations of the World Barista Championships (WBC), operating body under World Coffee Events (WCE).

The trainings will cover modules such as espresso theory, grinding, dosing, tamping, the science behind extraction, milk steaming techniques, latté art practice and competition preparation.
