Jonathan Sumner is the Business development Director for UK-based geospatial intelligence company Earth-i. Earth-i provides advanced analytics using machine learning and AI applied to geospatial Earth Observation data from a range of sources including satellite imagery and video fused with additional data sources to extract factual understanding and generate predictive insights.

In addition to leading Earth-i’s marketing and business development functions, Jonathan is the lead for Earth-i’s programme in East Africa assisting smallholder coffee farmers deal with the impact of climate change. Called ACCORD, the project is funded by the UK Space Agency through their International Partnership Programme (IPP) and aims to increase coffee yields, bean quality and improve farmer incomes. The programme is currently rolling out in Kenya and Rwanda.
