Who we are

The Agency for the Valorization of Agricultural Products, AVPA, is a non-governmental, non-profit organization, mainly composed of producers and taste enthusiasts. The association’s objective is to contribute to enhancing the value of agricultural products and to recognize the excellence of some producers, too often forgotten in the midst of the requirements of mass marketing.

AVPA was established in 2005 and has acquired since then a solid and remarkable international reputation, through its contests (bee honey, dried fruits, vegetable oils, coffees and gourmet waters). Every year, more than five hundred producers from around the world participate in one of the AVPA contests.

Since its creation, AVPA has been involved in coffee. First green coffee contests in 2005 and 2006 aroused a great interest among Latin American and African producers. Unfortunately, in Europe the impact was limited. AVPA had to wait until 2015 to establish the first international contest of locally roasted coffees to meet the interest of the gourmet consumers in Europe and still a wider excitation in producing countries.

At AVPA, our idea is to obtain a clear recognition of coffee as a gourmet product by French and European professional tasters, thanks to the new legitimacy acquired by the coffee growers, who have become passionate lovers of their coffees and high-quality roasted coffee sellers.
