The Coffee Directorate is one of the eight (8) Directorates established under Kenya’s Agriculture and Food Authority (AFA) which came into being on August 1, 2014 following the repeal of Coffee Act No. 9 of 2001 by the Crop Acts, 2013.

The mandate of the Directorate is to develop, promote and regulate the Coffee Sub Sector in accordance with the Crops Act 2013 and the Coffee Industry Regulations.
