Lulo Coffee Export PLC
Lulo Coffee Export PLC, a family-owned specialty coffee producing and exporting company established in 2019, is founded by Mr. Robel L. Kidane, a Q Grader and one of the two Q Processing Instructors on the African continent.
Lulo Coffee is a vertically integrated company, with most of its exports originating from its own stations. Currently, the company owns a total of 11 stations and a small farm, all situated east of the Rift Valley in the southeastern highlands of Guji, Yirgacheffe (Gedeo), and West Arsi.
One of our stations, Hambella Bella Station (HBS), placed in the Top 5 at AFCA’s Regional Taste of Harvest Competition. Situated at an elevation of 2,550 meters, HBS is meticulously designed to elevate the art of coffee processing to unparalleled heights. HBS boasts an array of advanced features, including ample drying beds, innovative experimental areas, a fully equipped laboratory, a modern warehouse equipped with efficient machinery, and a charming villa for visiting guests.
We also work with over 80 single farmers in a program that we call The Lulo Promise. We provide technical assistance and market access to farmers with larger than average farmland who are given permission by the Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority (ECTA) to process and export their own single lot coffee. The Lulo Promise both to the buyer and the farmers is value, quality and transparency.
