Who we are
DUKUNDEKAWA is owned by democratically organized coffee farmers from 3 sectors of Gakenke District in the northern province of Rwanda.
It was established in 2000, by 300 coffee farmers. After 11 years of operation Dukundekawa has 1937 coffee farmer members.
DUKUNDEKAWA owns a dry mill, 3 wet mills (Ruli, Mbilima and Nkara) and all its members cover an area of 392ha.
Our coffee
The coffee produced by Dukundekawa is exceptionally lively with subtle, flora tones that lead into fruit notes of grapefruit and stewed apples and in the finish there’s hint of vanilla and cinnamon.
The coffee of Dukundekawa was awarded cup of excellence in 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
